Series Two of the 2-volume set features 12 additional species of duck patterns. Both volumes include both hen and drakes, and more than 60 color reference photos of the ducks in their natural habitat. These are upgraded editions of Burk's previously published Decorative Decoy Designs #1, 2 - now out of print. Advances in computer scanning mean the colors are tremendously improved in this edition. Plus, the bindings much sturdier and easier to use.
Bruce Burk ranks among the master bird carvers in the country and is responsible for getting thousands of other carvers started. Starting in 1954, he taught himself bird carving and has been carving professionally since 1960. Burk has published articles on bird carving in North American Decoys, Chipchats, and Ducks Unlimited Magazine and is the author of numerous books. Burk now lives in Grass Valley, California, where he devotes his time to the art of realistic bird sculpture, wildlife painting, and wildlife photography.
I wish there had been a little more story to this book as with others, but nonetheless it was beautiful to read Alyssa Rose Ivy's writing. He'll never grow tired of it. I received this book yesterday and have had the opportunity to read three chapters so far.
Although I have been through many aspects of the music business over a 13 year period, I have never learned as much in one sitting as I have already with this book.
For anyone entering or managing the commercial end of audio recording/producing, this book is a MUST HAVE! To me, it is worth a thousand times its weight in gold, if not a million times its weight in platinum.
With this book, you can learn how to start up your studio, and operate it successfully and profitably. He finds himself pulled into the Corporate world present on Hathor. In fact, whole paragraphs are repeated in several subsequent chapters. I am having a great time working through these songs. Ferreira steps through each portion of the process car
