And the way people said it ended, not necessarily with a killer cliffhanger, but a cliffhanger nonetheless, I decided I would wait until the following year and binge what I soon learned was meant to be a duology. It begins almost pianimissimo and in a molto adagio style (with a few moments of high tension scattered through the book) rises towards a crescendo towards the end as the protagonist is captured by the villain and escape seemed impossible. Both Hindu and Hellenistic astrologies are 'Heathen' and thus contrast to Mediaeval Astrology with its pervasive influence of Abrahamic religious theologies.
Instead of purchasing and reading this book, the interested reader would be better advised to obtain good ones on Hindu astrology (several are available) and on Hellenistic astrology. Lost was raw in a sense. And if he has recommended that you have a little theoretical knowledge in a particular line you like, then you can go fill in as needed. This may be one of the best book
