This was one of them. This book, written by my aunt, is a good childrens book. Even though the main topic is backgrounds, I really liked the many illustrated tips on lighting, angles, framing, depth of field and cropping -- the kind of details that make a good photo great. A lot of people go through their lives without being diagnosed for Celiac disease or other gluten intolerance, and that happens mostly because they can’t identify the symptoms or because they are completely unaware of the disorder’s existence.
I liked how the author contextualized the condition by finding the precise moment in history when gluten intolerance became a major problem. A bit of a cross between a long magazine article and a children's book. There are average stories, bad stories, awful stories, attempts to do something different that completely fail ( Richard Lupoff's Lights! Camera! Shub-Niggurath! great title, unbelievingly long and unfunny lead-in)and by my count 2 out of 25 very good
